It would appear cooler weather is moving in to stay, and your box is one more indicator. Dark leafy greens love cool weather, and we hope you love dark leafy greens!

The mustard greens in your box this week are a milder variety, and are quite tender as they are young. They work well in a salad mixed with other greens or on their own, and pack a powerful nutritional punch (you can read more about it here.) If you are into mustard the condiment on your wraps and sandwiches, replacing it with mustard greens really makes them shine!

The french breakfast radishes in your box are classically the mildest of all radishes. Of course they work well in salad, but they are also great dipped in a bit of tempered butter (a classic french appetizer), hummus, or very lightly steamed (tops and all) as a striking side dish.

Red celery is a fun change from green, but can be used in the same ways. Our slender celery stalks are super flavorful, great gently sauteed or juiced.

Golden beets are awesome! They are milder than their red counterparts and are less likely to stain hands when they are worked with. If roasting, be sure to keep an eye on your beets, as they will show blackening more readily than red beets.

The other veggies in your box are probably pretty familiar by now — we hope you love eating them as much as we loved growing them!
