Use first (will keep about a week): tomatoes, lettuce, cucumbers, sweet corn
Store a little longer (about 2 weeks): peppers, kale, zucchini, scallions
Store very well (a month or more): Onions, shallots
While your produce is super fresh, it has not been washed! Please take care to always wash your vegetables well before enjoying.
Wow, week 21! With just one more week of the Summer 2018 CSA remaining, breath deep and enjoy the bounty! This wet weather is detrimental to summer crops — squash, cukes, and tomatoes peaked last week and now begin their decline. Rainy weather may be a challenge in the field, but it certainly creates space for lots of delicious cooking in the kitchen! Enjoy, and don’t forget to sign up for the Fall CSA!
