Our Winter CSA Week 4 Share this week:  clockwise from upper left –  Lettuce, Joi Choi, Red Russian Kale, Sweet Potatoes, Daikon, Black Spanish Radish, White Satin Carrots, and Napa Cabbage.

Use first (will keep about a week): lettuce

Store a little longer (about 2 weeks): joi choi, chard, kale

Store very well (a month or more): radishes, turnips, carrots, cabbage, sweet potatoes.

While your produce is super fresh, it has not been washed! Please take care to always wash your vegetables well before enjoying.

Week 4 of the Winter CSA is here and we hope you have all been enjoying your shares. The cold temperatures often make garden vegetables sweeter, and more nutritious! Win win!

With the upcoming holidays, our delivery schedule will remain the same. Boxes will be delivered at the normal times and locations Wednesday, 12/26/18, and Wednesday 1/2/19.

If this is your first experience with black Spanish radishes, you are in for a treat! The crispy white inside, and peppery outside make for a well-balanced and beautiful crunch in your favorite salads or crudites. If raw radishes are not your thing, they roast beautifully, too.

Happy holidays! We wish you good health, peace, and prosperity in the year to come. And don’t forget to buy those 2019 CSA shares by 12/31!
