In your share this week:
Cilantro, ‘Summer Crisp’ lettuce, French Breakfast radishes, joi choi, arugula, okra, green tomatoes, spinach (large share pictured).
Use first (will keep about a week): cilantro, arugula, spinach, radishes
Store a little longer (about 2 weeks): okra, lettuce, joi choi, green tomatoes
While your produce is super fresh, it has not been washed!
Please take care to always wash your vegetables well before enjoying.
Happy Week 3 of the Fall CSA!
This box has got the best of both worlds, a few summer tropicals still hanging on, and the crispy, crunchy veggies of fall we love so much.
Okra season is just about over! If you’re finding yourself puzzled with what to do with your okra, use longtime CSA member Wendy’s trick: rinse okra. Chop into coins. Freeze until you need a luscious thickener for winter soups and stews!
