CSA Spring 2020 Week 3
In your share this week: Spinach, colllard greens, Brussels sprout crowns, joi choi, curly kale ‘Casper’, beets, kohlrabi, black radish (large share pictured).

In your share this week: Brussels sprouts crowns, ‘Casper’ curly kale, red leaf lettuce, joi choi, carrots, sweet potatoes, watermelon radishes, purple radishes (large share pictured).
Use first (will keep about 1 week): lettuce, mustard greens
Store a little longer (will keep about 2 weeks): kale, sprout crowns, joi choi
Store very well (a month or more): kohlrabi, carrots
Though your produce is super fresh, it has not been washed!
Please take care to always wash your vegetables well before enjoying.
Week 2 of Spring
While our CSA seasons run slightly ahead of calendar seasons, we are nonetheless feeling like spring is in the air.

We have been loving these Brussels sprouts crowns so much! They are a deeply flavorful and hearty green for cooking. They make an excellent substitute for cabbage in dishes, and are great prepared on their own.
Here are some recipe ideas to get cooking with this week:
Kale & Cabbage (or Sprouts Crown!) Soup
Sweet Potato Brownies (paleo, vegan, gluten-free!)
