Happy Wednesday to our Community of Agriculture Supporters!
Just in case you haven’t heard it lately, we are so grateful for your confidence in our ability to bring you fresh, organic vegetables each week. Thank you.

It has come to our attention that the Japanese cucumbers were not holding up so well in your boxes for those of you that pick up later in the week. We are very sorry if your cukes were soft by the time you unpacked your box, we think it was a combination of too much moisture and not enough air flow in the liner bags. Customer feedback is so important to us! Let us know how we’re doing so we can make adjustments to serve you better. Your satisfaction is our top priority, and the sooner we now about something the faster we can remedy it.

On to this week’s veggies, what a beautiful share! Leafy greens of fall are coming on strong and we are so happy to have them back. Tatsoi is an asian spinach that is delightfully mild and highly versatile; it can be enjoyed raw in a salad, sauteed, steamed, or incorporated into any dish that calls for spinach, it is also great in your favorite juice or smoothie blend.

Spicy salad mix is similar to a spring mix with a few spicy greens for a nice peppery kick. Arugula, baby kale, baby mustard, tatsoi, and mizuna make up this customer favorite.

Mustard greens also pack a spicy punch and are crazy good for you! We love them raw on a sandwich, they also saute or steam beautifully. We do NOT recommend them in juice…a few people have tried and barely lived to tell the story, but they did report being able to breathe *very* well through their noses for an extended period of time!

Your sweet potatoes prefer being stored at a warmer temperature, so they are not packed in the boxes this week. If you pick up at Priapi Gardens, you will find them in the farmstand. It you pick up at one of our other CSA sites, look for them nearby.

As a reminder, here are times and locations of various pickup sites. Boxes will be delivered this afternoon/evening to your chosen site — be sure to pick up at the one you signed up for, within the given window of time.
